As part of the Niagara Catholic District School Board, St. John Centre
has been offering quality English
as a Second Language (ESL) classes
in the Niagara Region since 1987. We welcome students from around
the world to study at our ESL centre. Our school provides programs
for both new Canadian immigrants and international visa students
who wish to study in a truly multi-cultural environment. We offer programs for adult students (18 and older), teenagers (13-18 years old), and
specialized programs for professionals. St. John also welcomes ESL partnerships with international schools interested
in sending and receiving groups of secondary and adult students.
Come and
study with students from North and South America, Europe, Africa
and Asia.

Our Teachers
Our 25 English teachers are highly qualified, very experienced
professionals trained and certified in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language).
You will also find that our teachers are very friendly as well as sensitive to students’ needs. Most of our teachers have overseas
teaching experience and are therefore well aware of the difficulties encountered
by international students while studying and living abroad.
Our Students
Our students come from various countries, cultures, and religious backgrounds,
and are of diverse ages. Many come as visa students for one to six months,
while others come as immigrants to start a new life in Canada. All students
are made to feel welcome amongst us and very quickly become part of the large St. John Centre family.
