COURSES

General ESL

Based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks, our curriculum is carefully designed to offer students maximum language improvement within a short period of intensive practice and application. Although oral communication (Speaking and Listening) is the focus of our curriculum, practical applications of Grammar, Reading and Writing skills take place within classroom work and are integrated within teachers' lesson plans.

There are eight levels of ESL offered at St. John Learning Centre. Students have one teacher for the morning session and a different teacher for the afternoon session. The teachers collaborate to ensure that all curriculum content is covered in both morning and afternoon classes. Sudents on "Visiting Visas" may choose to attend classes full time or part time. (See class schedule)

There are no textbooks to purchase. Materials will be provided in class for study.
